    Potomac River, Washington, DC, July 4, 2005.

 

    Two shirtless guys, and one long canoe trip down to watch the Independance Day fireworks over the National Mall...people could think anything!  Scott Parsons and I ran Little Falls in this fully loaded canoe (notice the bikes strapped in).  After some spins to try and get some photos and this video, we cruised the flatwater to Roosevelt Island.  A slightly intoxicated Louis Geltman did a nice jump off the footbridge into the water to join us.  Cool fireworks, a Rosslyn party in wet clothes, and a very dark bike ride home.  Nice balance, Louis!
